Terms of Use

Last updated: October 6, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Peerelle mobile application and the peerelle.app website (together, “Peerelle”). By using Peerelle, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Peerelle.

What Peerelle is

Peerelle is a local-first tool that helps hosts and renters capture guided photos of a rental vehicle’s condition. It is provided for convenience and personal record-keeping on your device.

Independent tool

Peerelle is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Turo, other car-sharing or rental platforms, vehicle manufacturers, or any insurance company. Platform names may appear only for descriptive context where users commonly rent vehicles; such use does not imply partnership or approval.

No insurance or legal advice

Peerelle does not provide insurance, claims handling, legal advice, or guarantees about liability, coverage, or dispute outcomes. Photos and notes you create are not a substitute for the requirements of any rental agreement, platform policy, or insurer. You are solely responsible for how you use Peerelle and any photos you take or share.

On-device data and loss

Peerelle stores content you create on your device. Peerelle does not host a cloud backup of your inspection photos. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for any backups you choose to make with your own tools. Peerelle is not liable for loss of photos or other data caused by device failure, theft, deletion, uninstall, operating-system updates, or user action.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Peerelle only for lawful purposes and only in ways that respect others’ privacy and property. Do not use Peerelle to harass, misrepresent vehicle condition in bad faith, or violate applicable law.

App permissions

Peerelle may request camera access (and optional location for on-device geotags). Permissions are described in the Privacy Policy. You may revoke permissions in system settings, which may limit features.

Disclaimer of warranties

Peerelle is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Peerelle and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Peerelle. Our total liability for any claim relating to Peerelle will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim (if any) or (b) zero U.S. dollars if the app was free.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where prohibited by applicable consumer law.

Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
